A 15-year-old pedestrian, Carrie Marie Wood, was hit by a motor vehicle on Country Club Road in Winston-Salem, North Carolina around 10:15 p.m. on October 11, 2010. She was transported to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center following the accident. Driver Sarah Kristen Neaves, 20, crossed through the intersection with Vinegar Hill Road just before Ms. Wood stepped in front of the car. The accident is still being investigated.
